Account Login at Kaptivo Insight
The Kaptivo Solo desktop application requires users to have a valid Kaptivo account in order to use it. Accounts can be created for free by going to the Kaptivo Insight web portal, at https://my.kaptivo.com
The login screen is shown below. If a user does not already have a Kaptivo account, they can create one by clicking on the 'Sign Up' link below the 'Sign In' button.
Sign Up
The Sign Up page is shown below. Users are asked to provide a name, email address, password and optionally an account name, which typically would be the name of a company, school or organisation.
Users need to accept the Kaptivo terms and conditions and privacy policy to proceed. These can be reviewed by clicking on the links.
Email Validation
After the 'Sign Up' button has been clicked, an email is sent to specified email address, containing a verification code. This code should be entered in the page that is shown next. (See below).
An example of the email, as received on a phone, is shown below. As an alternative to entering a code, the user can click on the link in the email if they prefer. However, in that case, they will need to go back and log in on the previous screen.
Account Dashboard
Once the activation code has been entered, the dashboard view of a user's Kaptivo account is shown.
- The top-left box shows the user profile details.
- The top-middle box shows the account settings.
- The top-right box contains a button for launching the Kaptivo Solo application.
- The bottom-right box shows the number of users, and includes a button for adding additional users to this account.
- The bottom-right box may not be relevant for Kaptivo Solo users unless they also own Kaptivo Cameras and want to manage them via the Kaptivo Insight portal.
Launching Kaptivo Solo
Clicking on the 'LAUNCH' button in the Kaptivo Solo box in the top-right will show the following screen:
Clicking on the 'OPEN KAPTIVO SOLO' button will then launch the Kaptivo Solo app, if it is installed. You may get a pop-up window as shown below. Click 'Open Kaptivo Solo' to confirm.
If you haven't yet installed Kaptivo Solo, instead click the 'download Kaptivo Solo' link and the file should start downloading, as shown below:
