Kaptivo can be setup in Cloud or Local (Self-Hosted) mode, network access will vary slightly depending on which mode is set.
Cloud Mode
In order to use Kaptivo cameras in Cloud Mode the camera will need to access
to *.kaptivo.com and *.kaptivo.live using TCP/443 outbound.
You can confirm this is working by going to the Diagnostics tab of the Admin web interface.
If it isn't working, ask your IT security team to whitelist those domains.
For further questions, please raise a support ticket.
Local Mode
Kaptivo set to Local mode will accept incoming HTTPS connections on TCP/443
If it has the options "Auto Upgrade" and "Send Analytics" enabled, then it will need to access *.kaptivo.live on TCP/443 outbound for those features to work. Blocking them will not stop the Kaptivo from working but will limit those features.
Subscription based camera
(Kaptivo Wallmount Camera, part of Kaptivo for Zoom Rooms bundle)
A Kaptivo camera that requires a subscription will also need to access *.kaptivo.live on TCP/443 outbound for those features to work. Specifically license.kaptivo.live and kaptivo.live. Blocking those destinations will mean that the Kaptivo cannot check it has a valid subscription and will stop it from receiving specific information needed to complete the pairing with the Zoom Room Computer.
