Login via Kaptivo.com (or go directly to kaptivo.live)
To start your session, you will need to go to kaptivo.com and look at the top far right corner. You will see a “Join Session” meeting. Click on the link and sign in using the six-digit Kaptivo ID printed at the bottom of your Kaptivo camera unit.
Directly Inviting People to a Kaptivo Session
While in a session at kaptivo.live press ‘PARTICIPANTS’. You can then choose to invite people by email, copy and paste the invite link into a chat session, or send a text message if you are using a phone. People invited in this way will join straight into the session without further action from existing board share participants.
Only people physically in the meeting room can start a Kaptivo session. Viewing the whiteboard then requires an invitation or an approval from someone already part of the Kaptivo session. No-one outside your session can access your session content.
Either: press the control pad blue button (the light goes off)
Or: press the ‘End’ or ‘Leave’ button in your web browser near the top right of the window
Or: if all session attendees close their browser session the Kaptivo session will end after 5 minutes. Sessions can time out when only mobile device browsers are used and not kept open/active, or if a PC suspends or goes to sleep, stopping regular communication with kaptivo.live.
Streaming Time Delay
The Kaptivo image processing software waits for obstacles (like hands or pens) to move out of the way, and then sends the images to kaptivo.live over the Internet, and to your browser over the Internet, all of which can delay the image being shown on your device by a few seconds.
