Board size and type
Kaptivo is designed to work on white or coated glass dry-erase boards up to 6’ x 4’ (1.8 m x 1.2 m).
It will also work on walls painted with special dry-erase paint, even colored dry-erase boards, the only limit is that the writing surface must be lighter than the pens.
The product includes all required hardware to mount to standard drywall. We also have a variety of alternative mounting options available in our online store.
Location
You can use Kaptivo anywhere. All you need is power and an Internet connection.
If you dont have a Ethernet connection that provides power, Kaptivo ships with power plug adapters for the United States/Canada, United Kingdom, and Europe and supports 100-240V AC.
Mounting and mobile
Kaptivo ships ready to be mounted on any office wall. We also offer for sale a variety of mounts to handle different mounting scenarios. The whiteboard should not be offset more than an inch from the wall if you are using the included drywall mount.
The camera arm is connected to the Kaptivo control pad through a special USB cable. The connectors are USB 2.0 Type B and USB 2.0 Micro-A. USB 2.0 Micro-A is very uncommon. The cable is not compatible with most USB active extenders, so you can only use the cable provided with the Kaptivo or the extended cable available in the Kaptivo store.
The Kaptivo is designed to be permanently affixed above the whiteboard, not regularly moved from location to location as there are additional setup and camera calibration steps needed to ensure optimal capture.
Supported network types
Kaptivo Enterprise supports Ethernet connectivity, and Power over Ethernet (PoE). If connected to a powered Ethernet port, the included AC power adapter is not needed.
Kaptivo Enterprise also supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. 5GHz networks will not appear on the list of networks available during Kaptivo configuration.
