Supported Wi-Fi frequencies
Kaptivo supports 2.4GHz wifi networks. 5GHz networks will not appear on the list of networks available during Kaptivo configuration.
Finding Mac address
To find the MAC address of your Kaptivo unit, for example to add Kaptivo to an enterprise IT device whitelist, you will need to connect to the Kaptivo Office setup wizard.
To access the setup wizard, place the Kaptivo back into configuration mode, by pressing and holding the button on the control pad until the indicator light flashes green and red (about 10 seconds).
Now, reconnect your computer or mobile device to the KAPTIVO-xxxxxx Wi-Fi network and once connected, visit setup.kaptivo.live from your browser.
Once connected, Click “NEXT” on the first screen, then “ADVANCED”, then “ABOUT”, and the MAC address is shown.
It can take some time, up to hours, for MAC address whitelists to propagate through a large enterprise network.
Unable to find Kaptivo-xxxxxx network
Kaptivo creates the KAPTIVO-xxxxxx Wi-Fi network only for set-up and configuration. After completing set-up, Kaptivo connects to the internet using your regular Wi-Fi connection and the KAPTIVO-xxxxxx WiFi network will no longer be visible.
Difference between setup.kaptivo.live and kaptivo.live
Setup.kaptivo.live is used only to set up your Kaptivo for the first time, and is used to configure the camera and set up the connection to the internet. Kaptivo.live is used to share your board over the Internet.
Blocked access to kaptivo.live
Ensure that kaptivo.live is not blocked by your network firewall or URL Filter or filtering software on your device.
