To pair a Zoom Room with a Kaptivo whiteboard camera, click on the ‘Settings’ icon in the bottom left corner of the Zoom Rooms controller screen:
Select ‘Whiteboard Camera’ and this will display a list of potential source Kaptivos.
The Zoom Rooms computer will try to automatically detect any Kaptivo whiteboard camera that has been set up on the same network.
If one or more Kaptivo whiteboard camera is listed in the ‘Source’ window, click to select it.
Note - If a camera has been configured to have a ‘name’, then this name is used in the list. Otherwise, it will be denoted by ‘Kaptivo - ABCDEF’, where the six letters represent the Kaptivo ID of that unit.
If no Kaptivo whiteboard cameras are detected, you will see an entry labeled "Other..." in the source list, you can use this to enter the IP ADDRESS of the Kaptivo you wish to pair.
If this does not work, see the Troubleshooting section.
When you select a source Kaptivo, you will then be required to enter your Zoom passcode to change settings of this Zoom Room:
Next you sill be prompted to login to the Kaptivo camera (called ‘Account’ here) in order to complete the pairing. The default for administrative access to the Kaptivo camera is ‘admin’ for both Account and Password, although this default can only be used if the Controller and Kaptivo devices are on the same network.
Note: When first logging into a Kaptivo whiteboard camera, the admin user is prompted to change the username and password. This is recommended.
When completed, the successful pairing is demonstrated by means of a ‘tick’ next to the appropriate Kaptivo whiteboard camera in the right-hand panel. In addition, the name of the selected camera will be shown next to ‘Whiteboard Camera’ in the left-hand panel.
Once the Whiteboard Camera feature has been enabled in the Zoom web portal, and the Zoom Room has been paired with a Kaptivo whiteboard camera, the system is ready to use.
